Boardwalk Pipeline Partners, LP said Monday that its Southeast Expansion pipeline project has been placed in-service. This project consists of approximately 112 miles of 42-inch pipeline having 1.2 Bcf of initial peak-day transmission capacity. The project will be expanded through the addition of compression facilities up to 2.2 Bcf of peak-day transmission capacity during the first quarter 2009 to coincide with the commencement of Boardwalk's Gulf Crossing project. Boardwalk is now able to make deliveries to both Destin Pipeline, which will provide its customers enhanced access to markets in Florida, and Transcontinental Pipeline Company's Station 85 in Choctaw County, Ala.

Boardwalk also announced the completion of the final compressor station on its East Texas to Mississippi expansion project, located near Tallulah, La.

"With these approvals we are now able to move gas out of the prolific Barnett Shale and Bossier Sands producing areas and transport it across the Gulf Coast to markets in the Northeast, Southeast and Florida," said Rolf Gafvert Boardwalk's CEO. "This is another significant step in the growth of Boardwalk Pipeline Partners."

Boardwalk Pipeline Partners, LP is a master limited partnership engaged through its subsidiaries, Gulf South Pipeline Company, LP and Texas Gas Transmission, LLC, in the interstate transportation and storage of natural gas. Boardwalk's two interstate natural gas pipeline systems have approximately 13,660 miles of pipeline and underground storage fields with aggregate working gas capacity of approximately 155 Bcf.
