Kitimat LNG Inc. reported Saturday that it has not signed an agreement with a company called China Energy Petrochemical International Corporation.
Stories circulating in the Chinese-language press are false, and provide incorrect information. Kitimat LNG does not have and never has had an agreement with China Energy Petrochemical International.
Kitimat LNG has asked that Web sites posting the incorrect information remove the content.
Kitimat LNG generally does not comment on rumors, but because of widespread reports in Chinese language media, the company determined that it must issue a statement at this time to stop circulation of these false reports.
