The export oil duty in Russia is to decline by U.S. $32.7, or 8.6%, to $336.6 per tonne starting from August 1, according to data from the government regulation seen by PRIME Thursday.
The reduced export duty for oil from a number of East Siberia and North Caspian fields, as well as the Arctic offshore Prirazlomnoye oil field is to decrease to $148.4 per tonne from the current $173.0 per tonne.
The reduced export duty on ultraviscous oil is to decrease to $33.6 per tonne from $36.9 per tonne.
The unified export duty for oil products is expected to fall to $222.1 in August from $243.7 in July, and the increased tax on gasoline will decrease to $302.9 from $332.4.
The duties are levied in accordance with the so called "60-66" tax regime that was introduced in October 2011 to stimulate oil production and the rate of oil refining. The regime sets the maximum size of export duty on oil, charged on the difference between the oil price of $182.50 per tonne and the average world oil prices, estimated on a monthly basis, which was cut to 60% from 65%.
