Gazprom: Projected Nord Stream Cost Nearly Doubles

OAO Gazprom said in a prospectus for a planned
Eurobond issue that it expects construction costs for the 1,200 km Nord Stream
gas pipeline to reach 7.4 billion euros, Interfax reported.
The Russian news agency said initial cost estimates for the pipeline
indicated that it would cost slightly more than 4.0 billion euros.
Gazprom holds a 51 percent interest in the project, while BASF SE and E.ON
AG hold 24.5 percent each.
