Project description
Vista Del Sol LNG, owned by 4Gas, will be located on Corpus Christi Bay in Texas. The location offers the facility deepwater channel access capable of handling LNG ships with cargo capacity up to 250,000 cbm. The terminal will have an initial regasification capacity of 1.1 Bcf/d and three 155,000-cbm full containment LNG storage tanks, delivering a peak send-out capacity of 1.4 Bcf/d.
The terminal will be connected to a 25-mile, 36-inch diameter send-out pipeline with connections to interstate and intrastate pipelines, including Kinder Morgan-NGPL, Kinder Morgan Tejas, El Paso, Williams-Transco, Duke-Tetco, Crosstex, Energy Transfer, and Gulf South. The pipeline locations allows the terminal to deliver natural gas to Corpus Christi industrial businesses, utilities and power generators that require a large amount of natural gas, as well as other US natural gas markets.
4Gas has acquired permits for the terminal from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
4Gas acquired Vista Del Sol Terminal LP and Vista del Sol Pipeline LP from ExxonMobil and the 300-acre site from DuPont on Nov. 9, 2007.
As of August 3, 2010, the FERC-approved project had not entered the construction phase.
