On June 7, Petrobras set a production record at its refineries in Brazil, helping the country to cut oil product imports. The refineries processed a total of 2,029,021 barrels of oil per day, beating its previous record of 2,020,200 bpd set on July 3 2010.
This record figure was achieved by maximizing efficiency, seizing every opportunity to boost crude throughput while remaining within the limits of refining equipment and systems capacity. Full compliance with facility reliability guidelines was ensured and all Health, Safety and Environment requirements satisfied.
It is worth noting that this result was achieved thanks to close collaboration between Petrobras' Refining and Logistics departments.
