CB&I has won an approximately $460 million contract in conjunction with NefteGazIndustriya, LLC's expansion of its Afipsky Oil Refinery in Krasnodar, Russia, CB&I announced Monday.

"CB&I is pleased to extend our relationship with NefteGazIndustriya and appreciate their confidence in our integrated capabilities," CB&I President and CEO Philip K. Asherman stated in a press release. "The Afipsky refinery modernization is significant for NefteGazIndustriya and building the high-conversion unit will allow it to become one of the most modern and competitive refineries in Russia."

Under the contract, secured through project developer China National Chemical Engineering Co., CB&I will provide detailed engineering, procurement services, construction management services and commissioning services of a 2.5 million ton per annum Chevron Lummus Global-licensed hydrocracker unit as well as other process units, the contract winner reported. Previously, CB&I won technology license, front end engineering design and detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication and supply awards for the Afipsky project, the company stated.
